Basic Information

There are about 300 pupils and 20 teachers at Päämaja School. The most important school subjects are music, natural sciences, mathematics and languages.

They can be seen as follows:

MUSIC

The primary school music classes (3rd - 6th) have been attended here (as early as 1979)

NATURAL SCIENCES AND MATHEMATICS

We toke part in the national project of LUMA with the object of better learning in natural sciences (= LU) and mathematics (= MA)

Our own EU-project was (1998 - 2001) 'The river in our environment' and our 'partnership schools' are from Redditch (England) and Békéscsaba (Hungary).

LANGUAGES

The school has had a native English-speaking (American, Canadian or British) teacher (trainee) already for more than tent years, who teaches English and other subjects, too, in English language for all the classes (1-6).

Both German and Russian have been taught as optional A2-languages for classes 4 to 6.
